PCDA Code of Ethics
As an active member of the Professional Currency Dealers Association (PCDA), I have pledged to fully support each of the elements of the PCDA "Code of Ethics" which is presented below, in its entirety.

For the purpose of this code, the term "material" shall refer to, but not be limited to: paper money, stocks, bonds, scrip, documents and all other items of a syngraphic, fiscal or numismatic nature that make up the usual products in which the members deal and conduct business.
Section 1. TEXT OF CODE
"As a member of the Professional Currency Dealers Association (PCDA), I pledge:

To furnish advice on numismatic matters to the best of my ability;
To deliver material that I sell promptly unless otherwise agreed between myself and my customer;
To pay for material I have purchased promptly unless otherwise agreed between myself and my customer;
To refrain from publishing any misrepresentat-ions relating to the prices, quality or guarantees attached to my merchandise or that of my competitors;
To assist governmental authorities in investigat-ing and prosecuting individuals regarding stolen numismatic material where appropriate;
To refrain from knowingly dealing in stolen material;
To refrain from knowingly dealing in spurious material without fully disclosing its status to my customers;
To grade material accurately to the best of my ability;
To refrain from any of the following in selling material to retail customers;

using high pressure sales techniques;
using misleading performance data;
intentionally misrepresenting the origin, provenance, or pedigree of any material;
intentionally misrepresenting the gen-uneness of any item;
intentionally misrepresenting the value of any material using auction prices realized, wholesale trading prices or any other pricing data;
intentionally misrepresenting the in-vestment potential of material;
intentionally misrepresenting an affilia-tion between myself and any govern-mental agency;
Section 2. BINDING EFFECT.
This Code of Ethics shall be binding upon all PCDA members and their registered representatives and employees, as well as on any non-member affiliated with any entity that (A) utilizes the PCDA logo; (B) has a bourse table at a PCDA-sponsored convention; or (C) is owned by, or employs, a PCDA member.
Section 3. CONDUCT PREJUDICIAL TO PCDA.
Violation of the Code of Ethics shall constitute conduct prejudicial to the PCDA for purposes of the Association's Constitution and By-Laws (under Article III) and may subject violators to censure, suspension, or expulsion from the PCDA, in addition to any other remedies available under said By-Laws or applicable law.

To respect all my numismatic contracts with fellow PCDA members, whether written or oral;
To respect my fellow members' contracts with third parties and not to interfere with same;
To freely exchange non-proprietary informa-tion with my fellow members when requested to do so;
To refrain from intentionally defaming the character of a fellow member or the quality of that member's products or services;
To publish clearly my return policy for material in advertisements, catalogs, booklets or other places where my material is offered for sale to retail customers."
