C134328 4 4 $50 This Ex-Green, Newman example was the fourth and last of the "Montgomery Issues", after which the capital was moved to Richmond and all subsequent issues emanated from that venue.  The National Bank Note Co. prepared this issue using the vignette depicting the slaves hoeing the cotton field, as see on the T41 later, and is overprinted in green with protectors, a panel at bottom center and full perimeter printing, noted as being complete .  Notations verso show this note being issued July 5, 1861 by Frank Jackson, Capt. CSA; this is a premium NOT CUT CANCELLED addition to any collection Ch AU
